At Your Side (For Tara And Ezra) Poem by David Harris

At Your Side (For Tara And Ezra)

Rating: 5.0

With angel wings,
you fly high
to the temples
of love in the sky.

You greet everyone
with a smile
that lets them know
your love is true.

When after a while
your love flickers a bit,
just put your arm around them
lay your love on them for a while.

Show them on winter nights
that you will keep them warm
and on rainy days
that you’re their sheltering umbrella
to keep them dry.

Let them see
the sunshine within your smile.
Let them know
you love them
no matter rain or snow.

Just give them a big hug
and keep them at your side.
Because with lots of love
everything can survive.

What I am about to say isn't a downer....but it is true with everything in life not just love.....things have to be nurtured....worked like clay...giving some back and taking away....it only becomes a job when you get stuck in routines...Always experiencing the same old scenes....force yourselves and break out of the mold....find new ways for love to unfold....: O) hugs from here JoAnn

Lovely and comforting David. Relationships have to be worked at, love is never given to us on a plate, but true love is something so special, I wish it for everyone. Sweet sentiments. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
