Aum is Brahman - The Supreme Reality!
Aum is all powerful!
Aum is the start of auspiciousness.
Aum is the beginning of all prayers!
Aum is the beginning of every mantra.
Aum is the first utterance of a priest!
Aum is the divine chant imparted by a Guru,
Aum is the divine learning received by a disciple!
Aum is the illuminating note of a musician.
Aum is the enchanting mudra of a dancer!
Inspired by a verse from Taittireeya Upanishad
Chapter 8 -1 - "Aumiti Brahma! Aumitid Sarvam! "
The sound AUM originated from the dark void is perhaps the first creation of God which is entitled to be preceeded by any sacred energy
This poem really gave me so much peace. Thank you ma'am for such a beautiful poem
Aum is all powerful! Aum is the start of auspiciousness. Aum is the beginning of all prayers! Aum is the beginning of every mantra. Aum is the first utterance of a priest! ......so true. Aum is the beginning of all auspiciousness.. Beautifully portrayed..
Various studies and commentaries by Max Muller throws more light on the subject. More pagan expression can be read in “The Tao of Physics “ by Fritjof Capra.
‘Aum’ ( ॐ in Devanagari script) is the essence of Hindu philosophy and spirituality. Not only Hinduism, but Buddhism and Jainism too adopt ‘aum’ as the most important mantra. Almost every mantra starts with Aumkaram (the sound Aum) . The most famous Gayatri Mantra starts thus: “Aum bhur Bhuvah swah....”. The foremost Buddhist mantra is “Aum Moni Padme hum”. Upanishads declare that “Aum is Brahma, Aum is everything “. Need we say more! ! !
What a wonderful write on Aum and Brahman in Hinduism! Fascinating to note as well the humanity looks into the origin of everything no matter what culture or religion.

Om is the beginning and nectar of all divine knowledge emanating from our most revered ancient scriptures. This Upanishadic verse has nicely been explained by you through this poem. Thanks, Geeta ji.
