Beautiful Accessories (For Ladies) Poem by David Darbyshire

Beautiful Accessories (For Ladies)

I suppose we start with Lipstick
Red, Cherrie, spread on nice and Thick
Then a hair piece, or a Wig
The best that they can Rig
Now we come to lots of Jewelry
Fake diamonds, rubies are Tom-Foolery
Or things hanging from there Ears
That look like Chandeliers
Also nail polish, perfume, fancy Soap
With all this stuff I don't know how they Cope
I really know that women are beautiful on any given Day
But no make-up, no fake-up, would be the best Way

The most beautiful accessoir for a lady is the smile she wears when she is loved! Regards Purple Rose

Thanks, sweets. Just wish all blokes would think like this. Then I might not be on my own. Sweetness to you from Gina.

When you see them for the first time without make up and still think they're beautiful its the best feeling in the world, good write.

Hi David, I like this poem. Living in a small town with lots of 'naturalists' it is soothing to read your poem. Lots of us even give up perfume here and can't stand it when we smell someone with it on (but we haven't given up deodorant, thank goodness!) . Anyway, I always prefer the natural look on people. All that fake glitter is for Hollywood. Sincerely, Connie Webb

We ladies always need a little helping hand, to enhance what we have. You can only get away with the natural look when you are 16 or 17, after that things start to deteriorate, although this is a slow process, one still has to fight that aging thing. It's all about attracting the male species, and feeling good about oneself too. Good write about the female gender from a male's point of view. Love Ernestine XXX
