Bob And Miro Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Bob And Miro

Rating: 5.0

One would shorten the homily to go for a cigarette
The other would make the hour-long Mass in forty-five minutes
One would spend his money on the lottery
The other would go sailing to Florida in September
They made me go back to the Church
They made me think I could go to heaven
On a shoestring of sins
I wonder where are they?

Bob is now a monk in Tibet and Miro is retired in a suburb of Miami. He still goes fishing every day, even on Sundays.

Those that play, say to you nay. But you outsmarted them all. By realizing what they were doing, You ended up owning the tennis ball. Great to see some truth and light, never too late!
