Bri's INTROduction POEM:
Dear Poem-Hunter friends (and 'others' who've not been so lucky) ,
I submit this display of poems. I think they all are rather 'ducky'.
'That' means I liked them enough to share them with all of YOU.
Because P-H is a bit wacky this year, they are, alas, but a few.
There may even be a '1/2' of a photo of Geeta M's sweet face.
I don't know if it'll show up, Of it, there may not be one small trace.
If it's there, please don't blame me, Bri. It may be P-H's fault, ....
but perhaps it can be blamed on some pesky computer-virus assault.
I've only recently spent much time on P-H this year. Did you miss me?
I know most of you would like to shake my hand, or (some) kiss me.
About two weeks ago I submitted/published another poem showcase.
It only had 3 poems in it (I think) & I forgot an 'intro poem', a disgrace!

If I Write You A Poem
If I write you a poem, will your heart melt?
To tell you all the feelings that I felt
while lying in your arms under the covers
no one will ever know that you are my magnificent lover
It is something kept secret in my heart at night
Going to bed with dreams that I hold so tight
dreams that keep me happy throughout my life
and the dream of wanting to be your wife

And Softly Silence Speaks.....
When love flows between two yearning hearts,
Even Gods and angels listen,
As softly silence speaks,
And softly silence speaks.....
When the loving couple walk hand in hand,
Along the banks of a flowing river,
Even the lapping sound slowly ceases,
As softly silence speaks.....
When the loving duo sit in the dark woods,
The nocturnal birds and animals listen,
Their whispers travel miles away,
As softly silence speaks, they sit and pray…
When the lovers take a moonlight stroll,
And discuss their secrets in rapt attention,
Even the crickets stop their evening song,
As softly silence speaks, they stroll along!

Ahimsa 10 - The Carnal Greed
Greediness for sensual pleasures -
Most obnoxious and low!
A man becomes a brute
When he follows
His base, animal instinct!
He chases the evil which secretly resides
Within himself!
He knows no better
Than his treacherous passions
And to awaken the immoral mind!
When the mind focuses only on sex,
He becomes a slave of undesirable passions!
His mind refuses to think,
His brain negates reason,
He loses his sense of balance,
And above all,
He wastes his vital force,
The power of the universe,
The wonderful vitality,
Lost in immoral actions!
Sexual misconduct like rape is a grave sin!
It becomes unpardonable,
When forced upon,
Or brutally imposed upon on an innocent soul!
A sexual misdemeanour is
The most horrifying act,
An act of grave violence,
To be condemned!
For a sexual pervert ‘Ahimsa' is
Totally alien and incomprehensible!

Bri Edwards And The Moon
The moon may not see;
the moon may not hear,
but how do we know
when we are not near?
Perhaps it sees all that we do,
and hears all that we say;
perhaps it's full of microphones
and buttons that say 'play'
and others that say 'volume up'
and some that say 'record'.
Perhaps it sees just everything
and hears our every word!

Although Bri Edwards (that's me) is NOT mentioned in the poem(!) ....this is Kim mentions me in his Poet's Notes:
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM:

A Day Of Thanksgiving
Thanks for beautiful blue skies
Thanks for fragrant air silently filling the garden
Thanks for colorful fall leaves
Swirling and dancing through air even in their demise
The smell of earth mingled with scent of life
Still emitted from fallen leaves
Thanks for crisp afternoon sunshine
Filtering through bare trees
Thanks for little birds' morning chorus-
Busy squirrel's ritual of nibbling on acorns
And depositing some underground
Thanks for my ears and my eyes to be able to watch
This wondrous sight
Thanks for my family and friends
Most of all thanks for this happy state of mind
Receptive to the simple joys of the day
I need not know whom to thank-
It is enough to know that I have so much to be thankful for.

Showcase Readers:
I hope 'my readers' have enjoyed the above poems, my 'intro' included. Till next time, keep the 'cards and letters' pouring into my mailbox! ! !
Poem-Hunter is STILL free, though [in my opinion] of poorer quality than in past years. I refer to its user-friendliness, or should i say 'the lack thereof'?

Dear Bri, Please don't mind-- my comments have been flying out into your last showcase poems
Though your name not there because you are the moon who may not be able to hear but definitely can see and showcase all. And closing with being thankful for everything by Savita ma'am is just beautiful.
Bri your this showcase is just beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed. Beginning with love scrutinizing with lesson of Ahinsa and finally bri turning visual moon and closing thankful note. Wonderful.
Another wonderful showcase with five well crafted poems. Enjoyed reading them.
The moon may not see; the moon may not hear, but how do we know when we are not near? This is my favourite poem
