Broken Promises
No one knows
How to keep secrets
Not anymore
You might think
You can trust your friends
You may think
She’s the best person in the world
But she’s probably your worst enemy
You can tell something was said
When you walk down the hall
And you hear whispers
And people are staring at you.
You wonder if it was her
Who spilled
Your inner most secrets
Even though she promised
She wouldn’t tell.
You end up in tears
Feeling very foolish
For trusting her once more
But you don’t cry for long
Since she’s not worth crying over
But broken promises
Broken friendships
It all leads to one thing
And that’s a broken heart.
