The 2nd of 3 short poems about the total solar eclipse of 2017, the first such eclipse of its kind in 99 years!
When all had disappeared
But the Cheshire Cat's smile, in fun,
What was left
Was a total eclipse of the sun

Hello Bec! I recently watched that very same Alice in Wonderland (on DVD at home) , and so the cat's smile is firmly imprinted on my brain. But the Cheshire Cat, who is funny, is nowhere near as scary as Randall, the disappearing lizard who's the bad guy in Disney Pixar's Monsters Inc. Are you anywhere in the country where you would have had a good view to watch the eclipse? I heard on the news that they were throwing Eclipse Parties in Oregon and Washington state! Thanks for reading, commenting, and rating! Hope you are well! :)

I totally get it! Very creative observation. I think I also wrote about that eclipse.... Everybody's Looking at the sun. Something like that.
Hopefully, everyone who watched it used the proper equipment so that they wouldn't end up blind! That eclipse got the world's attention on that day. Thanks for reading one of my more obscure little poems!
