Angels flew about that night,
Beneath that star shining bright,
Beckoning Shepherds “your Saviors here”
“Go in haste and do not fear”,
So they fled into the still black night,
With a star alone to give them light.
Guiding them to that blessed cave,
Honored by man He’d come to save.
It was upon this hallowed morn,
To a virgin, Jesus Christ was born,
Whilst Jesus lay on a bed of straw,
Shepherds gazed on him in awe,
God had chosen humble men to see,
The incarnate Son of the Trinity;
God incarnate born forth to man,
The start of His redemption plan.
So when you kneel on Christmas day,
Close your eyes and to God you pray,
Thank Him for His gift of Grace,
Born to be sacrificed in your place.

ALF! GOD HAS BLESSED YOU WITH A GIFT OF GAB AND AN INSIGHT TO MANKINDS HEART. MAY YOU LIVE TO WRITE AND TO BE A HUNDRED AND ONE AND A DAY UNTIL THE LORD TAKES YOU AWAY. we share the same love for JESUS and in birth you have passed me by thirty six days.8/7/43--9/13/43 may you have a glorious christmas.
An excellent feel by reading the poem during the very season of Christmas. In fact I love the month of December and this season very much, for, it will be winter, christmas, carols, our season to the temple at Sabari Malai (it is just like a pilgrimage to Canturbury as Chauser describes) and the new year around the corner. December nights are clear for star watching also. Cold wind will be roaming about. The season of carols brings me the memories of Dicken's book 'Christmas Carol'. Watch the night on December 24th night for a particular star position. At the zenith around 11.40PM you may see a particular cluster of stars in the following manner. You can see four stars as forming the corners of an imaginary trapizium and you can see three stars inside it as forming the diagonal of it at the centre of the trapizium. Actually speaking we can see this cluster from November through February daily rising from exactly East and moving towards West every day. (You can fix East and West by just watching the position of this cluster) . What the Bible says about the arrival of three kings from the East during the birth of Christ could well be interpreted in terms of this star position as well during the birth of Christ according to me. Hindu mythology also gives importance to this cluster as the trident gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. For a long time I have been watching this cluster and on every December 24 midnight, it would be lying at the zenith of the sky. Just watch and have a POETIC feel!
