Colors Poem by merna ibrahim

Colors

Rating: 5.0

Did you think before about the colors? ?
they spread everywhere; in clothes & flowers.....

Every color gives you a specific feeling
colors sometimes, cause your wounds healing

Each color does its mission
by relaxing you by just the vision

Red is joy, energy and blaze
Red has much more than just one phase

Yellow is bright and glowing
Its brighness is always showing

Green is refreshment and relaxation
It grabs you from the world of hesitation

Blue is pureness and calmness
It relieves you and make you feel with easiness

White is faith, ambitions and hope
It convinces you to cope

Black is elegance, wildness & majesty
It makes you feel with dignity

Purple is grief
but sometimes, it is the colors' chief

Brown is Mother Earth - so neutral
But for the Planet it's so crucial

The colors exist in the whole world
You can't describe it in one word

Your favourite color may analyze you
And reflects the actions that you will do.

Hi Merna - Nice poem I have scored it a TEN. I am a scientist and color is so so important. The visible spectrum Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Blue - Indigo - Violet occupies the cente of the electromagnetic spectrum which streches from radio waves (low energy) to gamma rays (high energy) . God gave man the ability to differeniate between colors because color was such an important feature of his Creation. Each color has a specific vibration and therefore affects us differently and hospitals use COLORTHERAPY in the decoration of their rooms. I like the allocations you have given RED - JOY YELLOW - BRIGHTNESS GREEN - RELAXATION (which is why God made vegetation green) BLUE - CALM (sky color) WHITE - FAITH (all the colors blended together) BLACK - ELEGANCE (the absence of color) PURPLE - GRIEF (the color with the highest emoional energy) BROWN - NEUTRAL (color of the bare earth) . My favorite color is purple - GOOD GRIEF! The form of your poem is an excellent allocation of a rhyming couplet to each color. The metre (number of syllables in each line) could be improved which would give it more flow. The beauty of the poem is the allocation of each color to a specific character. Love in Poetry - JOHN.

I wonder if you are artistic as well as poetic. You have dealt with your subject well here so maybe you will be an artist one day. You have a high value on what colour can do for us and what is says about us. You paint well with words. That's poetry.
