Colours Of This Life
From womb, a dark place
To the world a bright place
It takes us through several stages.
The tangerine of childhood
Shows the the rainbow so bright
And then the white of youthful
Takes to the blue collar job
The red of marriage shows sign unique
The watchful amber slows down
Green makes happy with offspring around
Then slowly approach the dusk of the day
And back to the tomb
It shows all colours, doesn't it.
Indeed, black does absorb all the colours we see...A brilliant metaphor for taking that journey that is life. A fantastic verse, Asim.
