Crazy Daisy Poem by Stephen Katona

Crazy Daisy

Rating: 4.7

You thought you'd have an epitaph,
When you came near my calf.
I'm sorry I scared you and your brother,
I was just being a protective mother.
I'm glad you had the good sense,
To leap over that barbed wire fence.
Now that I'm calm,
I wish you no harm.
Perhaps if you knew,
I was scared too.
The thought of your dog's bite,
Gave me such a fright.
Please don't scream,
If you see me in a dream.
Give me a smile as you pass,
I'll be busy chewing grass.
And if our eyes meet,
Just think of something sweet.
Remember I'm a herbivore,
Not a Tyranosaur.

Amazing phrase is expressed from memory. Sometimes being afraid of is a common thing. There is no need to fear. Giving smile with affection and cheerfulness is wise ever. This poem is very brilliantly penned..10

in your Poet's Notes: friend, they (twice) and child do not seem to 'add up' to me. i'm just sayin'...... Ha ha. i 'love' the cow's message, though she is PROBABLY lying. in fact she probably never spoke THOSE words. hers probably were: Moo, moo, mewww. Muh, maaa, moo. Whouooooooooo! Moo, moo, moooh. MOOOGH! ! ! . DID YOUR POEM HELP YOUR FRIEND(S) ? ? (cont.)

A beautiful poem dealing with childhood notions like getting scared by seeing a cow, nurtured through out life. Congrats on poem of the Day.

Very peaceful is a paddock full of cows. A lovely write. I adore nature. Great too, for anyone with a fear of moo.
