Scarlett Day

Daddys Girl - Poem by Scarlett Day

Dad, i'm sorry
i'm sorry i was never good enough for you
i'm sorry me and my brother got in the way when you were drinking
i'm sorry that you never had enough money
i'm sorry you liked your girlfriend better then me
i'm sorry you never get to see me grow up
i'm sorry my children wont know their grandad
i'm sorry the court said we could have no contact
i'm sorry every single day that i can't see you
i'm sorry, because i miss you so much, and i hope you miss me
i'm sorry for binning every letter you sent me
i'm sorry for never being enough.
