Devi Annapoorna Stotram - Part 1

Rating: 5.0

.O Annapoorneshwari Devi! One who blesses each day with joy,
One who fulfills the wishes of the aspirant,
One who is breathtakingly beautiful,
One who destroys all sins,
One who manifests herself to save her devotees,
One who has purified the clan of Himavaan:
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi,
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!

O Annapoorneshwari Devi!
Adorned with spectacular jewels of varied kind,
Attired in a golden silk dress,
A string of pearls dazzling on the beautiful breasts,
Decorated with the red coloured kumkum,
Ravishingly beautiful!
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi,
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!

O Annapoorneshwari Devi!
Endowed with supreme bliss of Yogic powers,
The annihilator of all enemies, strictly adhering righteousness,
Shimmering like the moon, blazing like the sun and fire,
The protector of the three worlds,
One who bestows prosperity and auspiciousness!
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi,
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!

O Annapoorneshwari Devi! Residing atop the Kailasa Mountains,
Praised by different names -Gauri-the golden complexioned One,
Uma- the adorable consort of Siva,
Sankari - the bestower of auspiciousness, Kaumari- the pure one,
Famed as the staunch inductor of Vedic knowledge,
The seed of Pranava Mantra ‘Aum',
One who opens the door and leads the Bhaktas towards Moksha!
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!
