A new dawn surprised me,
when tiny dews sprinkled on my face,
Surprised I was to see,
Myself swinging in our beautiful garden,
I don't know when I fell asleep
Counting the twinkling stars.
Early morning awakened me,
But...
Reminded me a beautiful day had began
with sneezing
In full swing
It just reminded me only one thing..
Never count only stars but do count on moon too
Who just stood smiling only for you
Among the twinkling stars!

Stars, moon and sun all are mine.....Geetha........whenever someone composes poems on them I go mad and lost in them......so definitely this is a beautiful piece for me...I enjoyed it a lot........
Counting stars is best technique to sleep. Count in the moon and be blessed for the night. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
It is a pleasure lying sprawling below the star spangled sky and counting them! Then sleep comes uninvited! Sweet poem, Geetha!
I could feel the dawn on my face on wakening on the swing, that refreshing feeling on waking with pure clean air and the beauty of nature. Love these words. Thank you
a beautiful poem Geetha, the moon and stars are necessary for us to dream also in life
Hello poet Geetha I enjoyed your lighthearted poem of one of the pleasures of life, and it came with advice. I enjoyed, Loyd
Very well said Geetha - it happens mostly when we are enjoying the company of so many others at our good times when the most caring person may not be there or may be ignored, what should not be ever. Thanks for sharing.
What a pleasure it is to fall asleep under stars. Stars are millions but moon is just one. Some one that special can not and should not be ignored. Lovely poem. Thanks for sharing.
