Don't fall in love with me
I am mere an illusion
A tiny part of this wonderful creation.
The moment you start loving me
I will disappear in no time
I am mere a body
Where soul brightens my life.
So, Don't fall in love with me
I am a beautiful maiden
You have given me a pretty name
You can see me till I am residing in this body.
The moment I shed my body
This beauty decays and
I am to be seen nowhere!
So, Don't fall in love with me.
Never fall into love with this perishable body
Which is a part of this wonderful creation
came here just to give only a guest appearance
The moment my part is over
I will disappear in no time.
So, Don't fall in love with me
The moment my soul leaves me
I am mere a perishable commodity
Which has to go into the furnace
where remains will be only the ashes.
So, Don't fall in love with me
Don't fall in love with me.
Love thy soul
As long as your soul lightens up your body
You can see me!
Don't fall in love with me!
Love thy soul
It will never die
It will live much longer than you and me!

A lovely poem you wrote Geetha, where I can feel you emoting and saying with a heavy heart not to love the you (the body) which is perishable...... beautiful.
Love not mortal being but thy soul is the message my all...............Geetha..............great write..................
Wonderful words flowed in to a poem. I cherish the philosophic theme of poem. your idea in the poem is echoing in my heart. A great way of expressing real love. Very simply love the soul which is permanent not the perishable body. Well done!
I think always there is a quality in someone that attracts others. This force of attraction cannot be controlled. When this attraction comes on its climax an emotional reaction of the same is love. This seventy years old Sanaysi Baba can only say love is helpless and it is a futile effort to advice someone not to love. But your poem is very beautiful and I really liked it.
This is a great poem Geetha. I really enjoyed reading it... so true!
I gazed at the moon followed all creativity but could not notice when started loving n became the symbol of love for the people of this earth.
Falling in love, and hurting your nose Is all to common among us folks To bend on your knee and offer a rose Is always a well played out hoax................ Very good write up... Actually love is body falling in love with a another body aided by stupid minds.
Neela Nath (6/23/2014 11: 49: 00 AM) I think this poem is charged with double meaning. It's a kind of satire too.Very intelligent write! Admirable! indeed i second neela in her opinion...lovely poem
The truth and wisdom shines in this remarkable write.Art at its best.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
