I cage,
the doves of love,
as warm kisses,
On her swollen lips;
red as the ruby.
Then, her eyes winking,
Enticing my tender dreams
To hide under its lashes
And make their nest there.
Oh, my god! You are making me to go apes over love by these lines......... 'I cage, the doves of love, as warm kisses, in her swollen lips; red as a ruby! ' oh, Cripes, What romanticism, just like a Keats or Elizabeth Barret Browning you to hit the chord of my heart and pulled the string at it. I thoroughly enjoyed these romantic poet. Lights on! Speaking of romantic poetry their also an element of Byron here, 'I’m thinking she walks in beauty', since Byron and the romantic era in general are my favourite period for poetry, this captivates my attention.
I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. Love is all around me and so the feeling grows. Quoting from a song, because this poetry are for the hopeless romantic souls. Great poem. Lovely...
