What kind of world
do we live in
When truth becomes lies
and lies become truth
People selling their mothers
for a slice of a drug fueled high
Thinking it's their right
to that kind of life
Not caring who lives
and who dies
All they want
is the high they will never find
An high they will chase
Until the day they die
Respect to the lucky ones
who now live a clean and happy life
No one but you
will know how hard it was
to turn your life around
and it was hard... but it's the difference between living and dying! a well written poem!
being a product of this generation, i agree with your opinion, but sad to think about this situation! ! ! ! ! you are always amazing by your poems!
I agree with soul's words here. The greatest weapon they are using on youth is drug and the power mongers are making them boneless to stand against injustice. Who will fight for establishing justice is the most haunting question of today. Nice subject matter is presented in an elegant way- Rekhamandagere
you are an amazing poet! Its a nice piece.i enjoyed it! U show ur talent gentleman!
Today's war is not using bullet or physical to physical but through drug...it is like a mutation of behavior when the 'Kriptonite injection' far away from them...something that not original from drug addict but it deliver in their mind but this chemical...I believe the world will be ruin by two things, lost of humanity and spread of illusion which one of them carried by a mission of Drug :) _Unwritten Soul
Drug abuse is a tragedy that is eating away at our society and claiming new victims every day. I 've seen this first hand and I can see you have too. Your poem is a statement of outrage against this disease. And for anyone who has the strength and fortitude to conquer their drug problem, they truly deserve, as your poem indicates, respect! Well done!
Another great poem, Dave. With an insparational message for those who have turned their lives around. And it goes to all addicts, not just those addicted to drugs. The gamblers, alcoholics, etc.
