I'm talking about Perry Mason- a fictional lawyer-detective
created by Earl Stanley Gardner with his novels in 1933
‘The Case of the Velvet Claws' and ‘The case of the Sulky Girl'
He went on to write eighty more in the Perry Meson series
Which proved to be the best-sellers since they first published
The detective stories of Gardner were already a hit in mags
Creating accurate courtroom scenes andlegal maneuvering
Remained his forte with which I became familiar at age 14
When my elder brother returned from Belgaum around 1965
With a pile of books including ‘Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'
Two novels of Perry Meson- ‘The Case of the Spurious Spinster'
And ‘The Case of The grinning Gorilla'. I was hooked on to it
After these two novels, I read about twenty more of the series
I'm still amazed at how Perry saved his clients from injustice
Awesome prose poetry painting glorious memories with the ink that never fades. Beautiful sir.
Earl Stanley Gardner has created a fictional lawyer in his mysterious writings. You have briefly read his books. An amazing poem is excellently penned...full 5 stars..
Reminence...... A beautiful reminder of them. I remember being hooked to detective stories and novels. Sherlock Holmes was all time favourite. Those were those crazy days where books were a part of growing. Thanks for sharing.5*
We do get attached to the works of our favorite novelists- -I have gone through many different stages and thus different genre and I count them all part of growing up!
