It's so funny JR I have a poem called empty vessel which I have been meaning to poet for the past month but never got around to. I wrote it one night when I saw the empty boat outside my house teeming with moonlight.

so is this true of you? and do you contribute more to the welfare of the world around you by having this emptiness.... where His glory can shine? ? good for you if it is true. i no longer believe in God and i feel i still contribute to the world's welfare, if only in a small way. i think many 'religious' people can have 'full' lives, not feeling 'empty', AND be God-and-Mankind-serving at the same time. do you have a human partner to share life with? they can help, though they sometimes can be the cause of grief. : ( nice poem. i like ending with a rhyme. bri :) p.s. you aren't a Catholic priest, are you?

Faith is a funny thing you most learn to feel it within yourself....that inner feeling like when you hit your elbow on the wall or bump your head in a door way...you must feel faith...then you will know how to trust it...good poem...
