Another sun goes down
Another day makes an exit
Slithers like an eel from clutching hands
We see birds going home
And stars ready to make a show
In the skies of unconquerable dreams
Under the moon's glow
Fate and love concord
And a lover dreams with eyes of illusion
The sky hosts stars and moon
The earth is choked with cravings
And the poet is alive in his verses.

End of day's dreams, especially those of lovers. are filled with fantasy and wishful thinking that can come back to harshly disappoint. Thank goodness for poetry to provide a vent
The details in this poem of events happening simultaneously at the end of another day are well-observed inn their variety and ultimate harmony as good things in our mortal world. But something happens between the lines of this poem. It steadily creates an atmosphere of both excitement and quietude that so many good things are available without cost or even effort. They descend upon us and those who are alert receive them with quiet or noisy gratitude, depending on their personalities. As I read your poem, I felt I could just stretch out my arms and a cornucopia would fall into them. And all I have to give in return is good will to others. And so your poem is also a vision of how good life can be if we match its goodness with our own.
Simply beautiful...... I love the way you have incorporated so much in this delicate yet powerful write! !

Hi Nosheen, Beautiful poem, again on sunset. Another sun goes down Another day makes an exit Slithers like an eel from the clutching hands.... This is exactly how I am feeling right now! The exquisite images of skies of unconquerable dreams and lover dreaming with eyes of illusion really make it. And to crown, we have THE POET ALIVE IN HIS VERSES. Fantastic. I just wanted to ask Nosheen, Why not HER verses? 10 of course.
Hahaha. Good point. Thank you for your sterling comments. I must think hard why not Her. lol
