There
must be
something wrong
with my body's
metabolism
because I keep getting
bigger, bigger, and bigger.
I think this might be my limit.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I called this poem 'Expander' because each line contains one more syllable than the previous line. Please see my poem 'Shrinker', which does just the opposite. Each line contains one syllable fewer than the previous line. Also see 'Square Poems', where the number of lines in the poem is the same as the number of syllables per line. Written 24 Dec 2014.

An appetite of a bear, ahhh! The format of the poem (expander?) goes well with its theme..

Thank you for the comment, Unnikrishnan, but that is not a bear in the picture. It is an orangutan.
