For Aurora Poem by Walterrean Salley

For Aurora

Rating: 5.0

Our thoughts go
To Aurora Colorado,
Where many a bleeding heart
Brace beneath
The awful bequeath
Of fate's cruelest dart.

Such grim felony.
A twist of irony:
Cold, senseless, tart.
Angst and fears,
And bitter tears,
Are but just a part.

T'were heroes there,
Destined to share
As angels set apart,
With a role to play
On such dark day—
All in the name of art.

A touching tribute to one of the most horrific events in recent history, it’s a pity this work of art has to exists for that horrible incident.
