Forever Slumber

I watch out my window, its winter now
It’s been a few months and I still wonder how
I will live without you, feeling so lost inside
Sometimes I wish to just run and hide

The lord took you away without even a blink
When I heard the news, my heart went to sink
Lost in disbelief and utter despair
Thinking how I wish I could have been there

Maybe I could have saved you
Maybe there was something I could do
But unfortunately you are gone
And that night turned to dawn

But you never woke up
To forever slumber
