Forgiving - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Why must you lord torment this man
When I’m trying to be all I can
Instead of your torment help me out
Show me the reason its all about
Help me fix whatever I’ve done wrong
Let my spirit once again be strong
Lift my soul from this dark dank abyss
And shine upon me the light I miss
Please do not forsake me I simply plead
For your love for me I sorely need.
“closing thought”
If forgiveness from others you wish to receive
You must forgive yourself before others believe
