In the photographic
frame of memory,
the immortalised
image of a visage,
still reflects
the translucent tenderness
of sparkling sapphire eyes
in love.
In the detailed
unimagined memory,
each reminiscence forms
details of memories:
enhanced beautification
by imagination
for the satisfaction
of disillusionment:
portraying
the desirable image
to be carried
as a talisman:
souvenir of non-satisfaction,
for a future looking back
into the past.
for the satisfaction of disillusionment: portraying the desirable image to be carried as a talisman, souvenir of non-satisfaction, for a future looking back into the past
In the photographic frame of memory, the immortalised image of a visage, still reflects the translucent tenderness of sparkling sapphire eyes in love.
Awesome memories, they are indeed part and parcel of our past, they are chain to future and as we look back and turn the time back to relive those moments sometimes we laugh and sometimes we repent and regret. Loved it 10+++++
Dear Mihaela, your poems are full of passion and tenderness. How a framed photograph can take you on a ride down the memory lane is so beautifully envisaged in this poem with so much imagery and emotion. Loved the poem......10
A wonderful poem with superb imagery. There are memories in our minds that even the minutest details of a person's face could linger. If our love for them is strong, we carry them all along in our battles in life. Beautifully written.
Some people become part of our being and entity. Even if they are out of scene, their image cannot be extricated from our memory! We derive a kind of satisfaction, pleasurable or painful out of those memories and carry them as a talisman! A poem of longing and intense nostalgia!
When you describe the " souvenir of dissatisfaction" with gentle words, you are showing with a grief how beautiful the feelings were. Only those who are strong and courageous in spirit can do it. Great my fried.
