God is one- They say in unison
God dwells in every heart
God is omnipresent
God is omnipotent
All humans are God's children
God takes care of His children
All religions broadly agree
Then why are they fighting for?
Then Who is fighting whom?
Why this bloodshed and gloom?
Why I am sighting the doom?
One who is under God's protection
Cannot perish- they believe
Pray tell me- Those who perished
Were they not His protectees?
You highlight the the conflicts between various religions, who all worship the same God. It does not make sense, in Northern Ireland, or anywhere else.
What I have written is a very common observation. Instead of being a facilitator of unity, religion has given rise to fanaticism and bigotry which, in turn, has led to bitter conflicts and spilling of blood of innocents which no civilised society can afford to watch mutely. Michael, thanks for sharing your views on the subject.
Here you have raised some doubts that come bobbing in my mind too! Yes, everyone says God is one and He is Father to all human race and we are children of God! If so why there is so much of hatred and violence in the name of God....? The present scenario is really alarming and the most atrocious acts are committed to 'please' God...a God who preached and practised only love! A bitter paradox! A great write, sir!
A bitter paradox. Yes, it is. A God who is merciful and kind and full of love for all living beings, how can He ordain His children to go against His own word. The queries come out of deep anguish. Thanks a lot, Valsa ji, for being on this page and for sharing your views on the subject.
God is in our hearts, sometimes He appears as single beam and sometimes as a rainbow. Great poem.
Thanks, Akhtar Jawad sahab, for your kind and enlightened words about the revelations of the Supreme Being.
I wish I have the answer, but I think there is something called greed and power. At the end of the day; we as individuals live our lives in the way that our conscience guide us and attain happiness without hurting others. Thank you my friend.
Thanks for your kind visit, Dear Friend Loke. We all have our own explanations and rationale in addition to what scriptures have to offer. I am glad you do have a plausible analysis of the given predicament.

You ask the questions of the ages. This is a tremendous work, Rajnish. A 10.
