Guru 3 -Gurus Of India Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Guru 3 -Gurus Of India

Rating: 5.0

The Gurus of Ancient India were
The ‘Rishi Munis' - the Sages who lived in the forests,
Teachers who were constantly in search of Truth,
Teachers who kindled the light of knowledge,
Teachers who shared their wisdom with worthy pupils,
Teachers who were selfless and egoless.

Dear Geeta madam, you have nicely and astutely inscribed about the gurus of ancient India who were known as Rishi Munis. They were constantly in search of Truth and they were imparting knowledge to worthy pupils. Nice work.

Lovely poem which brings to fore the tradition of Guru, Gurukul and disciple. Even the princes used to abstain from their royal comforts and lived in those Gurukuls just like other disciples. Thanks, Geeta ji for sharing a slice of our ancient culture.
