Hate you must
The one that hurt you
It makes you human
Like grief
It has its own time
To heal.
Hate sometimes inflames us
To move into a higher ground
And we exceed the one
Who puts us down
And at a given time
We become better persons.
Yet others
Are immobilized by hate
They are frozen
The hate and hurt lurked
Inside their hearts
They become bitter.
It is therefore wise to say
That hate must surely
Come to its end
Whether it makes you
Better or bitter.
For if hate has claimed possession
Hate possesses your heart
Hate possesses your mind
Hate possesses even your very soul
Ending yourself
As the prey.

Hate sometsometimes inflames us! ! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Very well crafted showing every iota of truth about hate how manifested and leaves impact.......Rose......but where is the time to hate when there is no time to love
Ending yourself As the prey........great observation. Lovely.Thank u, dear poetess.anjandev roy.
I especially liked the end stanza. Facing hate, both ways, I think a good remedy is to wait.

Very well penned Rose. Hate is the opposite of love and shrivels all life it contacts whereas love expands life and helps one to see the light. Though someone can be inspired by hate or love it's only by love that one finds the compassion to help others and do good.
A very insightful comment, George. Yes, I do agree that.love.expands life. Thank you for your time.and generous comments.
