Julie Guihot

Heat - Poem by Julie Guihot

Drowning Hearts sigh
Through the endless nights.
Empty, heavy thoughts
Echo through times cracks
As ivory vessels
Slink silently by.

Clawing,
Pink and stained
The shadows of a day
Pass through the shrouded veil
As, like liquid chocolate
Night pours forth.

Midnight lullabys
Sweetly scorch,
As the still breeze waits
Tender eyes stare
Restlessly awaiting...
sweet RELEIF...
