Help Lord - Poem by Walterrean Salley

There is so much to do
In just a single day.
Help me to accomplish, Lord,
All that I will or may.

Teach me to prioritize—
Putting first things first
That important things get done
Before my vigor’s burst.

Oh, help me to be wise
To stop and get some rest
That I might be strong enough
To combat any stress.

Please help me, oh Lord, to find
My way thro’ the daily grind.

A beautiful prayer, simple but not preachy, hard for some to get but this clicks, the grind can be hard. (Report) Reply

    A simple but sweet prayer!

Oh, help me to be wise
To stop and get some rest
That I might be strong enough
    To combat any stress.

Very appropriate words! We tend to overdo things and finally get exhausted!
