At dawn in an earthen pot;
By dusk, smile wiped off...

mamta ji namaste great haiku the hibiscus family also includes Hibiscus esculentus (lady finger-ocra-bhindi) usually in the subcontinent it flowers cream to dull light brown... but since centuries also9 in th west african hinterland there some varieties are pink to carmine...the local medicine men use it for inducing abortions and ethnobotany tells us with considerable success..... your haiku has a new twist and still stands true...and yup i am the one drawing the twisted lines here! ! cheers...great lines

Good haiku...normally in tamilnadu hibiscus is a pooja flower and is known for its medicinal qualities...its concoction is taken in for body cooling and it is a herbal remedy for hair falling...thanks

Perhaps they shine in the morning freshness and retire after the day's tiring glory. CP
