She looks all moonspun
as fragile as butterfly wings
her joy dancing around her like confetti
she might as well been candlelight calling him home
mischief gamboling around her like a puppy
love falling in step beside her the rest of her life
but for now her feet pattering headlong to her Daddy
and he gave a shout of laughter thinking
Time is especially precious
in the hands of a child.

An insightful expression on childhood is made hauntingly. The inscription of little girl is so fantastic. Her appearance as a butterfly, her joy dancing around her like confetti, mischief gamboling are touchingly delineated here. I appreciate this lovely poem. Thank you dear Susan madam for sharing this gem.10
Thank you- -those words just poured out while I thought of my girls when they were children so happy and carefree. I am glad you enjoyed it, my friend!
You have painted a lovely delicate picture of what childhood souls be. Excellent images.
