History seems happy things to teach
If one wants to learn, if has the itch,
No one is a winner
Nor ever a sinner,
Break bridges and tonnes of hopes ye breach.

Victory wears hard on men, parties in power no exception.
Promising, winning, forming government is not too hard; harder is performance, good governance, and delivery on promises made. History is happy to teach if one cares to learn— by not repeating past mistakes.

History is so happy to teach. If only all men learnt from history, never to make the same mistake again, world would have been a happier place, No one is a winner Nor ever a sinner. A limerick so apt and full of learning.
It just occurred to me, if No one is a sinner, Nor even a sinner, Then who really he's and why he acted the way he did? Perhaps the answer is: To spirit of time he's a leaner. Thank you Dr GRM.

I would like to translate this poem
There's an old song with a lyric that goes something like..." I don't know much about history because that's not where I want to be." You really have me thinking with this gem of a verse...do we repeat history because we are ignorant, or does history force even its students to go back to old learning experiences. A great poem, Aniruddha. A 10...
I appreciate your thinking and bring to bear what you read some time back. A good poet is a fine balance between a thinking mind and a feeling heart, heart proposing, mind disposing as the final arbiter. Thank you Mj Lemon for the feedback.
