I Know Nothing Of These Poem by MAHTAB BANGALEE

They told me to learn the truth
They told me to stay away from lies
They taught me -
This word is virtuous in pronunciation, sin in that word utterance
In this language, God speaks
God will punish if anyone changes the language

I ask for forgiveness, I apologize
to the God of the whole Universe
If He forgives me

I'm stupid illiterate, I'm ignorant
in that truth what I was taught
in that lie from what kept me away
I do not know what sin or virtue is in God's created kingdom

The absolute mysteries of this universe I do not know much
for that would be a lie the unknowing matters,
I don't believe in many things like the others
for that wouldn't be true what I do not believe for those who are doing!

If anyone does not pray in my memorized words,
If no one controls himself in my believable language,
If someone does not surrender in my imitable verses
only for God
in that case, are those others sinners and I am virtuous?

I know nothing of these
I'm stupid illiterate, I'm ignorant

আমাকে তাঁরা বলেন সত্য শিখতে
আমাকে তাঁরা বলেন মিথ্যা থেকে দূরে থাকতে
আমাকে তাঁরা শিখিয়ে দেন-
এ শব্দ উচ্চারণে পুণ্য, ওইশব্দ উচ্চারণে পাপ
এ ভাষায় প্রভু কথা বলেন
এ ভাষা পরিবর্তনে প্রভু শাস্তি দেবেন

আমি ক্ষমা প্রার্থী
বিশ্ব ব্রহ্মান্ডের প্রভুর কাছে
যদি তিনি ক্ষমা করেন

আমি মূর্খ, আমি অজ্ঞ
সে সত্যে যা আমায় শেখানো হয়
সে মিথ্যায় যা থেকে আমায় দূরে রাখা হয়
আমি জানি না প্রভুর সৃষ্ট রাজ্যে পাপ বা পুণ্য কি

রহস্যভরা এ জগতের আমি জানি না অনেক কিছুই
তাই বলে কি না জানা বিষয়টি মিথ্যে হবে,
আমি অন্যদের মত অনেক কিছুই বিশ্বাস করিনা
আমার বিশ্বাস না করা বিষয়টি
যাঁরা করছেন তাঁদের জন্য সত্য নয় কি!

আমার মুখস্থ করা শব্দে যদি কেউ প্রার্থনা না করে,
আমার বিশ্বাস করা ভাষায় যদি কেউ সংযম না করে,
আমার একান্ত অনুকরণীয় বাক্যে যদি কেউ আত্ম সমর্পণ না করে
প্রভু নিরঞ্জনে
তাতেই কি ঐ অন্যরা পাপী আর আমি পুণ্যবান?

আমি এসবের কিছুই জানিনা
আমি মূর্খ, আমি অজ্ঞ
