If It Is Not Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

If It Is Not

Rating: 5.0

A life is not a life
If there is no care,
A respect is not a respect
Where there is no dare.

A love is not a love
Where there is no risk,
A spouse is not a spouse
If heart doesn't fix.

A teacher is not a teacher
If he has no skill,
A pupil is not a pupil
If he has no will.

A lover is not a lover
If he has no firmness,
A heart is not a heart
If he has no kindness.

A hand is not a hand
That does harm to society,
A citizen is not a citizen
Who has no fraternity.

A mother is not a mother
If she doesn't suckle her babe
A family is not a family
Where love itself does cave.
