Impressions
though sounding fully nostalgic

though myriad impressions,
our life
continuously goes on

Dear Bellagio
closest to the Como
I miss you so much
my lovely Bellagio as such

one decennium ago
I was near you
where the sun started to shine
in this most beautiful fun

Bellagio, I really miss you so much

pearl of Lake Como
biggest shock
in awake

wake up
no longer on Lake Como

remembering your best dessert bake

while dreaming of my cute clear crystal lake

since covid nineteen then
you I've never seen again

world travel is my only relaxing

The next are
writing, painting, and lecturing

giving lectures
is my only torture,
painting is my living art,
writing is my only way of breathing

can you imagine a life without breathing?

a true poet cannot live without writing

about that lecture
so many strange eyes look at you
but the speech must go on
by this non-oblivion
we poets live on

indeed Bellagio
old most beautiful town near Lake Como,
I miss you so
