Our hearts bled
in rambling over temptation's thorns,
in sopping into currents of longings absonant
into seductive, enchanting colours and fragrance.
Inebriated, we find it hard to take up into another path.
A saying in Hindi goes like - 'kabhi kisi chis ki laat mat laga lena, warna wapas nahi aa paoge', which can be roughly translated as 'Never make yourself an addict, you will never come back from that road'... And it is true Dimitrios. We can become so addicted so something/someone that we are often lost in the 'fragnance' - the aroma of it, while never knowing that even poison sometimes smells good... A fine poem Dimitrios.. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you too, Souren, for your kind word.I owe you a word on Nitche's Born of tragedie.
Perhaps the first line could be; Our hearts bled Yes, total investment in one 'path', because it seemed attractive, makes it difficult to abandon what may be a lifetime of expenditure, to investigate another path that would be more advantageous.
Or it may be too late to have the guts and time ahead to orientate your pace towards another path.Thank you, dear Kelly.I change it immediately.
Life and problems! But, there is a way forward with the truth. Nice work.81828
The problem comes when it is too late for the truth to turn life back to relive it.Once you have lived it you have gained or lost it.Thank you dear Eward.I do often read poems of yours but my english, rudimentary used, do not allow me easily to make a comment. As for my poems, they are translations of my greek texts, which is quite easy to do.//Thank you.
