Invisible Sorrows Poem by sekharan pookkat

Invisible Sorrows

Rating: 5.0

Songs, create waves
Waves of the song brings me
The pain of summer nights
And darkness deepens
Into the absolute sorrows
Of invisible sadness.

Fani, formed in the ocean
Yelled into cyclone
Wiped away the happiness
And the waves of sorrows
Deepens into the absolute darkness
Into the wings of winter.

Yes..nature has its own way to maintain balance. carniverous animals feed on hervivorous animals.Fani brought immeasurable sufferings to the people of Odisha when lakhs of people lost their houses..property, crops and cattle in the severe cyclone Fani though fewer human.lives were lost in comparison to to its severity because of alertness before hand to evacuate people to safer places. Thanks for sharing your concern through the poem.

Wonderfully you have delineated this poem regarding natural disasters beginning from the wave of song. You have rightly stated that Nature has its own strategy to maintain its balance. Brilliant work. Thanks for sharing.

It is humane, to empathise with others. Only humans have the capacity to feel the sorrow of another person as his own. Your poem, I believe, is born of your empathy towards all those who are affected by Fani. And “Fani” (ഫണി) means serpent. So, it spews venom... Nice imaginative write. Enjoyed reading...
