It Should Be Me - Poem by sam

I guess you didnt notice
How I looked into your eyes,
And saw how your soul screamed
For the truth through all the lies.

And now you're with her
when it should be me.
I guess that you're too oblivious to see,
How happy I am when you're with me,
But now you're gone
And my heart bleeds.

We would talk all night
'Bout who knows what
And when we'd stop
So would my heart.
And all my dreams
Were of you and me.
That's how I always
Wanted it to be.

And now you're with her
when it should be me.
I guess that you're too oblivious to see,
How happy I am when you're with me,
But now you're gone
And my heart bleeds.

The day I heard
It came in loud and clear'
And disbelief,
Was ringing in my ears.
I thought we had something
I guess i was wrong.
And i sit here alone
Because you're still gone.

And now you're with her
when it should be me.
I guess that you're too oblivious to see,
How happy I am when you're with me,
But now you're gone
And my heart bleeds.

And I know you'll see the light,
and you'll try to turn around.
But you're too late
And i dont wanna hear a sound
'Bout how sorry you are
Or how much you care.
'Cause if you did
You wouldn't have left me here.

And now you're with her
when it should be me.
I guess that you're too oblivious to see,
How happy i am when you're with me,
But now you're gone
and my heart bleeds.
