Last night
I didn't write at all,
But in my sleepy world
I dreamt that
I had written
The longest piece
About the grandeur and splendour
Of my motherland
And the people of my country
Were reading it with immense concentration and reverence,
My sublime soul became fully drenched with
Divine peace and satisfaction,
Thereafter I fell into deep deep slumber.
Dreams carry the desires in the subconscious mind. Glad your good desire was fulfilled thus. Nice work
GREAT...AAA RRR...About the grandeur and splendour Of my motherland And the people of my country Were reading it with immense concentration and reverence,
(cont.) .. line 4: 'I dreamt that' But in last line: 'Thereafter I fell into deep deep slumber.' I'm NOT an expert of the stages of sleep, but.... ? ? ? ;)
other than my questions about words, I like the poem well enough. 3 1/2 stars. bri ;) WAIT! I just reread the title and text. (cont.) ..
I don't 'know' the word 'sublime' well enough to use it; that is true of many words for me! I wonder what words you might use to explain YOUR meaning here of sublime. Hmm? ;)
'Were reading it with immense concentration and reverence, ' .... Did you 'want' 'When' or 'Was' in place of 'Were'? ? ? bri ;)
