Lend A Hand
Today I seen the most beautiful thing
More beautiful than Bach or Lisa
More precious than gold or silver
How do I describe something this wonderful?
So beautiful, yet so intangible
Yes it’s real, and you did it
I said “move on” and he did
I said “spread your wings” and he did
He looked me in the eye
And there it was
All that was lost was now found
That brow that was low is now lifted
He can spread his wings, he can fly
He can reach for the skies, he is a hero
Today I witnessed it
The awesomeness of benevolence
Is a beauty to behold
Go on out there and do great things
David you are really a great poet. Your approach is so good that words appear to be puppets in your hand. Great write.
