Let me listen and hear my conscience,
O! Vice, the wretched one.
Your clutches seem to be strong,
But verily with you is a loss.
Let me walk and stroll with my conscience,
O! Vice the Satanic.
Your tentacles seem to be sturdy,
But verily with you is a fall.
Let me sing and recite with my conscience,
O! Vice the evil.
Your jaws seem to be empowered,
But verily with you is a defeat.
Let me hop and dance with my conscience,
O! Vice the shameless.
Your claws seem to be robust,
But verily with you is a shame.

A good conscience is a continued celebration. A nice piece of poetry well penned with insight. Thanks for sharing and do remain blessed.
Thoughtful write. If one could read inner conscience then, one can surely come out of any pains, any habits. Beautiful presentation. Loved reading it.
A old saying has that we have both virtues and vices in us, but it is upto us to choose the virtues and ditch the vices. A very well written poem from you Abdulrazak. It shows how passionate you are about having the right conscience.. If only we had a world where people had some respect for humanity and a proper conscience we might have been saved from the horrors of war, murders, rape, destruction, and all such sick cruelty.. Simple yet thought-provoking. Thanks for sharing brother.10 points from me. Your simplicity is wonderful..
My conscience is my God so let me be with it through, come good or bad life will have no sweat and no trouble so long as I cling to it........very well crafted.......10

I would like to translate this poem
In the face of so much negativity all around, one needs to have a firm conviction to counter these forces as shown in the poem which makes it extraordinary.
