Limerick R30 (Hindi) Quebec Cold / क्यूबेक की ठंड - Poem by Rajnish Manga

There was a small boy of Quebec
Who was buried in snow to his neck.
When they asked, 'Are you friz? '
He replied, 'Yes, I is —
But we don't call this cold in Quebec! '

Original Writer: Rudyard Kipling
Hindi Translation: Rajnish Manga

क्यूबेक की ठंड
हिंदी अनुवाद: रजनीश मंगा

क्यूबेक नामक देश में था वो छोटा बच्चा इठलाता;
इतनी बर्फ़ वहाँ पड़ती थी गर्दन तक वो धंस जाता;
सबने पूछा ‘जमे नहीं? ’
वह बोला “जी, नहीं नहीं,
क्यूबेक में इतने जाड़े को जाड़ा नहीं कहा जाता”.

    Oooohhhh! I love this wonderfully inked Limerick! Imagine having snow and not feeling the cold because one is acclimatised to it! Wow! A very sharp witted poem, crafted with humour as the Limerick format requires. Lovely work, Rajnish. I so enjoyed reading. Thank you for sharing. Blessings always... (Report) Reply

    Yes, it sends shivers down the spines of those who are not familiar with extremely cold conditions in upper Northern Hemisphere countries. Thanks Marie, for your kind words of appreciation.

    In Quebec....ask me it freezes at 35 minus... at times we need to use candles to see from where to pee..
    can we
    we can hardly feel it
    frozen as you say
    so did Rudy but then he must be blushing closeted he may be
    the world is now open and going gay
    who knows will it stand another day...
    so lets warm ourselves say gays

    Quebec is still cold
    as yesterdays
    but now it is not so cold
    lesbians also say
    so to normal all gals and guys may go again
    hopefully so
    ere the gay law becomes irreversible
    gays help IN FREE AIDS
