at the edge of every new morning
its thick branches of blue-green needles
hiding the mysteries of God's little creatures

The tree is gone, but what of you? Are you still with us, or gone, too? We love your work; please give us more, and we'll rejoice, just as before!

Great old memories ceases to fade and flashes back when ever we visit any familiar place. You recalled some great moments spent with your Mom and Dad and I am sure they must be very happy where ever they are and enjoying as much as you did by recalling these fabulous moments.

The giant tree, the silent witness of your memories might have been gone but your amazing pen and mind have captured those memories so vividly and beautifully. A great poem so heartfelt and well expressed.

I like how you brought out the love story of your parents in the poem. What a beautiful love story. And most of all your love for your family.

Your beautiful string of words has created a series of beautiful stories that captivated a reader's heart. The story of the giant tree is very touching. Yes, a tree is a silent witness of all our wonderful memories and always there to give.

Fantastic poem, Susan! So sad that irresponsible youths have destroyed such a precious font of memories.

This is a brilliant poem, Susan. As I got to the end, I thought of Sonnet 18. Something does remain, and it is perhaps in the one form more potent than the mere physical. Again, a great verse. \It reminded me of how things used to be.

Explosive forces has been put into the hands of reckless youths, to give them momentary stimulation. Tender beings find a haven for a time, in a living, branching pillar.
