Another unforgettable stanza from the fine poem by Omar Khayyam. I have the poem with me again today and the lines occur nearer the end. A poem I read again and again.
I would like to share an interesting incident. In school, my English language teacher used to tell us about literary gems (Books & Writers) which were not part of our syllabus. On one occasion, he wrote this verse on the black board and then explained it. Thus, it was my first introduction to Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat. Thank you so much for your kind words, Michael.
