Is it really...? I have a couple of solutions: 1. Wear swimming goggles 2. Cut them lengthwise.

Hmmm, who'd have thought that PH could be a site for dispensing advice? I will try your suggestions to see if they work. I also heard one about refrigerating the onions first, but not sure that would make much difference. Thanks for commenting! : -)

This is terrific. On the one hand, reminds me of a day in the kitchen. But those onions are often handy when the tears just refuse to come naturally, and circumstances demand they flow. Another gem, Poetess.
