My Wife Says My Time Is ‘ Near ‘ ….(Because " You Are Getting God-Like Powers") …..[ She Did Say That! ; Mind-Travel; ‘word-Coincidences'; Long; Personal; True! ; Medium-Long]

Rating: 3.8

Yes, my wife really did supply the title to me.
And, yes, she authorized the use of …the ‘G'.
[We do not claim I'm omnipotent, OR omniscient.]
About my ‘word-coincidences-power', I'll now vent.

Yes, it's been a year or two at least, …..I'll now say,
that ‘word coincidences' have been coming my way.
Let me explain now what may be my newfound power,
which causes word coincidences to, upon me, shower.

But first: "What does ‘word coincidences' even mean? "
To explain, in part, let me present the following scene:

I commented on a poem by Lynn W. Petty.
I used a made-up word, ‘neuralpoesy'. [Are you ready? ]
He, in turn, messaged back but spelled ‘poesy': ‘posey' [sic].
He used all the same letters, but in a different order he did stick …..them!

I thought to myself: " ‘Posey'? Is that a flower? "
[I did not yet feel the approaching ‘coincidence-shower'.]
I Googled ‘posey'. It is an adjective; I forget its meaning.
I found that ‘posy' is ‘the flower', to which I'd been leaning.
THEN, a day or two later on another poet's poem page,
I saw a comment left by a poet named Posey! Was I a sage? !
[Well, perhaps ‘sage' is not the word.] ‘Psychic' …I may be? ]
Tonight my wife suggested the ‘Cause' to Bri, …to ME!
[You see the ‘Coincidence'? : a ‘meeting' of two words, YET they're apart/found-independently-of-one-another, ….or so it SEEMS.]

The suggestion my wife aka "mate" did then to me propose ……
was clever. It had been hiding under the tip of my nose! !

"Your ‘time must be near'; you are getting God-like powers.
Your word-coincidences sometimes pelt you ….like rain showers.
I think", she said, "your mind roams freely & time-travels."

[I, Bri, think: "If this is true, my conundrum now unravels! "]

She continued: "YOUR mind can leave your body, my dear.
It wanders in the present AND future; it does seem clear.
It sees into PoemHunter.com, magazines, and your books.
It stores information from wherever …..it then looks."

"So, though your physical eyes had not yet read ‘Posey',
Your traveling mind had! You've got a Traveling-Mind-NOSEY!
And your mind looks at much more than your eyes ever will see,
and, to befuddle your conscious self, it led you to ……'Posey'."

That's it! ! I'm sure now that my mind (unknown to me) …
does its traveling when I'm not really ‘using it'.
My unconscious mind's been playing with my conscious mind.
Why, ….my Traveling Mind, you are a conniving Shit! !

[I make apology to God-Believers I now may have offended,
AND to the ‘Science of Psychology', if, YOU, I've …..upended.]

Ah, happy wanderer. What is more exciting than to find word coincidences. It's their use that defines the Gods, like us, from the others of course. Perhaps I could hire your mate as my PRO sometime. Go on, Bri

Yes, even before, I knew you possessed super human powers.....! This is not something new....! So even if your mate says, your end is near..... don't believe it..... and continue to see what other abilities your travelling mind possesses! However... greatly enjoyed the poem!

Bri, this is nothing new to me. I've known for a long time that your mind ALWAYS wanders all over the place! This was fun to read, by the way.
