Some people love the drama
they need it like it's air.
What do they get from all the stress
they feel...or don't they care?
They'll dredge up lots of turmoil
to make you turn your head.
But when you look too closely
you'll see that lies are said.
Don't let the spotlight dim
cause then they'll cause a stir.
You'd have to check the sources
to really know for sure.
Once they've been discovered
''It's someone else! ''... (of course)
Please spare me from the drama
and stop beating the dead horse.
I never understood what I call the Drama Queen. Guess they need the attention. Rusty
Great, Mary. But know that there are people who like beating a dead horse because they won't have to be afraid of it. Best H
That's two (uncharacteristically?) bitter-tasting pieces of writing from you I've just read, Mary. I'm doing what I did when I read the first one ('Every Mother...) : nodding my head. Warm regards, Gina.
I would never beat a dead horse, maybe a drum....have a nice Day Mary dave xxx
Good outing, Mary. I enjoyed your poem. 2 suggestions: the first cause should be 'cause and the last line needs one extra syllable so perhaps 'long-dead horse' or something to that accord?
I do my best to not look for trouble, it normally finds me on its own accord.
