Poemhunter.Com Or Long Live Poetry
Long Live Poetry
The stereotypical pessimists said
That poetry is dead
Is turned into
Which could barely count from one to two.
They proclaimed that poetry
Is in a state of agony
It is almost extinct; it is a dead language
Like Latin, and the poets of the new age
Are not as good, with so much competition
Coming from television
Computers, cell phone
I Pod, and I phone
Poetry does not stand a chance
But with the help of POEMHUNTER.COM
Hungry poets are rebuilding the kingdom
Of the world’s literature
This is great news for Mother Nature
The intelligentsia, all poem lovers
The public and the perpetual learners.
This poetry search engine
Has lessened the anxiety and the pain
Of the seasonal and the famous
Poets; this website is really generous
Since it costs nothing to register
In order to become a member
However, voluntary donation
Will be gladly accepted
By the administration.
All inspiring poets are indebted
Where all are welcome.
I applaud the inventors of this site.
This search engine is inspiring, entertaining and out-of-sight.
Thank you for the opportunities
Consequently, our message is read in countless countries.
The pessimists were wrong
They will be forced to listen to my song
And read my poems. Just one word of caution
This site is highly instructive
And it can also be addictive.
Poetry is alive and well, long live Poetry
Thanks to the people with great vision
Many thanks to this ingenuous technology.
