Rain - Poem by Joey Johnston

The rain falls gently on my head
It takes the dirt off my soul
Its gentle sound puts my thoughts to bed
The rain gives me back control
It washes away memories of you
Those drops of water give me a new life
You know when you loved it was untrue
When it ended my heart was in strife
The rain washes it all away
I live my life with out the pain
I will not bring you back another day
You left a permanent stain
My hear bled for you
Blood that was washed away by the rain
You think you got me but your the fool
washed away by the gentle rain
